My grandmother's letters arrived that week, describing Keeladi's ancient streets, where our ancestors walked centuries ago. She'd sent photographs of excavated pottery bearing scripts I couldn't read but somehow recognized in my bones. That evening, I earned PAYBO recognition for teaching Tamil heritage to uninterested students. Yet something profound shifted. I wasn't just earning credentials anymore. I was becoming a bridge, translating dusty artifacts into living stories for diaspora children like myself. Through that small window, past and present finally met.
