I love this bird
My grandmother, Avvaiyar reborn in spirit, taught me to notice small beauties. She kept journals in Tamil, documenting every bird visiting our garden. When I joined PaybookClub, I brought her peacock-blue notebook, sharing those careful observations with strangers who became friends. Last Tuesday, a sparrow nested above my window. Its gorgeous plumage caught morning light like burnished copper. My grandmother would have written volumes. Instead, I photographed it, posted simply: "I love this bird." The responses flooded in—not senseless chatter, but genuine recognition. We were speaking the same language, really, honoring the world's quiet wonders together, keeping our heritage alive through shared reverence.
