Africa our great continent

Grandmother hummed a Carnatic raga, her voice carrying memories from Srivilliputhur to our modest home. She'd always said music transcends borders, connecting souls across continents. That evening, I discovered PaybookClub, a community sharing stories from Africa, and suddenly understood her wisdom. A young musician from Kenya posted about teaching village children traditional songs, just as Grandmother had done for decades. Their laughter echoed through the screen, innocent and pure. I watched, intrigued by this beautiful exchange of cultures. Grandmother smiled when I showed her, tears glistening. "This is what heritage means," she whispered, "sharing our voices so others may hear their own." We belonged to something greater than ourselves.
