Mr miles

Old Ramesh earned his nickname decades ago, walking miles through Chennai's streets delivering milk. Now retired, he discovered his grandson's Tamil Brahmi script project online, where communities preserved ancient heritage together. A local swami, Paramarthananda, had recently launched a cash-in social network rewarding cultural documentation. Ramesh contributed photographs of heritage sites his miles of walking had revealed. His submissions brought modest income, but more meaningfully, connected him with others protecting Tamil traditions. Young people engaged with his posts, learning forgotten scripts and stories. Mr Miles, once solitary in his labor, found himself woven into something larger—a community united by shared roots and mutual care for what their ancestors built.
