AN AMERICAN NURSE AND A CHILD HAVE BEEN ABDUCTED IN HAITI

Alix Dorsainvil, the wife of El Roi Haiti Director Sandro Dorsainvil, along with their child, were reportedly abducted on Thursday morning, as stated on El Roi Haiti's website. According to the Christian humanitarian aid organization El Roi Haiti, an American nurse and her child were kidnapped in Haiti, where she was actively involved in their community ministry on El Roi Haiti's campus near the capital city, Port-au-Prince. In an official post, El Roi Haiti expressed deep concern for Alix Dorsainvil, describing her as a compassionate and devoted individual who considers Haiti her home and its people as friends and family. Alix had been tirelessly serving as the school and community nurse, bringing relief to those suffering and serving the Haitian population in the name of Jesus. Originally a nurse from New Hampshire, Dorsainvil moved to Haiti after her husband invited her to provide nursing care for the children at a Haitian school, as revealed in a video on El Roi Haiti's website. US authorities have been informed about the abductions and are collaborating with Haitian authorities and other US government interagency partners, according to a statement from a spokesperson of the US Department of State given to CNN.
