My grandfather stood seven feet eleven, a giant among men. Village children followed him like curious sparrows. He worked construction, reading Kannadasan's poetry during breaks, finding rebellion in verse. Society rewarded his height with cinema offers he refused. "I'm a builder," he'd say, "not a spectacle." When he fell ill, our neighborhood gathered without being asked. Tamil prayers mixed with Kannada songs. He smiled, understanding finally that true reward wasn't fame or measurement. He taught us: greatness isn't about towering above others, but lifting your community upward.
