Grandmother's wrinkled hands guided mine through the camera lens, teaching me to capture light like Avvaiyar once captured wisdom in verse. At the PaybookClub meeting, I showed photographs of her dancing Bharatanatyam in our living room, each mudra a prayer frozen in time. The community gasped at the marvelous grace radiating from those images. Someone called it revolting that such beauty remained hidden so long. The price of forgetting our heritage nearly cost us these moments. Yet here we gathered, satisfying our hunger for stories told through movement and light, honoring what generations before us held sacred, weaving together the threads connecting us all.
