Balas stapler

My grandmother discovered the ancient Tamil Brahmi script carved into temple stones near Srivilliputhur during her childhood. Decades later, she taught me those forgotten symbols in our kitchen, using a worn notebook held together by a simple stapler—Bala's stapler, borrowed from a neighbor who became lifelong family. That stapler traveled with us through generations, connecting moments of learning and love. When I joined PaybookClub, I shared her story. Members gasped hearing how one tool bridged past and present, how heritage lived in unexpected places.
