Beautiful flowers

Grandmother's garden in Chennai always bloomed brightest during monsoon season. Years later, living far away, I discovered PaybookClub, where diaspora members shared recipes, stories, and photographs of home. A member posted jasmine flowers, identical to ours. My heart ached beautifully. I ordered seeds online, planted them carefully, and waited. When delicate white blooms finally appeared on my apartment balcony, tears came unexpectedly. That evening, I photographed them and shared my story with the group. Comments flooded in: Tamil grandmothers recognizing their own gardens, children rediscovering forgotten scents. In that moment, distance dissolved. We were all tending the same flowers together.
