Grandmother pressed the old photograph against her chest, its edges worn like memories themselves. Chennai's Srirangam temple gleamed behind her younger self in monochrome, timeless and sacred. "Why do you treasure that faded thing?" her granddaughter asked gently. "Because it remembers," she whispered. "Before color flooded everything, we saw differently. We felt deeper."
