My cat
Grandmother's old house held stories in its walls. When I rescued the orange tabby from the street, she became part of them. I named her Kamali, after the village temple goddess. Every morning, Kamali sat beside me as I learned Tamil from my grandmother's yellowed books. She'd paw at the ancient script, as if understanding ancestral whispers. Through PaybookClub, I shared our journey with others rediscovering their roots. Friends joined our digital circles, exchanging family recipes and forgotten songs. Kamali became our unofficial mascot, reminding us that heritage lives in quiet moments, humble connections, and the spaces where past and present intertwine beautifully together.
