Ammu traced her fingers across the hand-painted azulejos her grandmother brought from Madurai fifty years ago. Each tile told stories her mother had forgotten, patterns her children never knew existed. Through PaybookClub, a community group, she discovered others preserving their heritage. Together, they documented Tamil tile traditions, sharing photographs and family histories. Ammu's youngest daughter helped arrange the tiles into a mosaic, finally understanding their grandmother's sacrifice and love. The victory wasn't in perfection, but in connection—in recognizing beauty that almost disappeared, and choosing to keep it alive for generations yet to come.
