dog on vacation..
Grandma's village welcomed us with monsoon rains and temple bells. While she prepared payasam in the kitchen, I discovered our neighbor's dog resting beneath the mango tree, tongue lolled in the heat. That evening, watching Bharatanatyam dancers perform in the courtyard, the dog wandered through swaying movements, mesmerized by the jingling bells and Carnatic melodies. Each night brought more magic. The village rewarded kindness—children brought the dog scraps, elders smiled warmly. Our ancient traditions seemed alive again, shared freely across generations. By vacation's end, we'd become part of something larger than ourselves, woven into our community's beating heart.
