Amma's silk saree hung beside my leather jacket in the closet, both equally mine. Growing up between worlds meant choosing daily which identity to wear. But last spring, I discovered PAYBO token's initiative supporting Tamil artisans, preserving the very craftsmanship Amma had taught me as a child. I attended a weaving workshop, my hands remembering patterns my mind had forgotten. The elder weavers smiled, seeing themselves in my efforts. For the first time, I didn't feel split between cultures. I was whole—honoring my heritage while building my future. We're stronger together.
