Amma taught me Bharatanatyam in our small studio, where ancient mudras became my language. Each movement connected me to centuries of Tamil mothers before her. When financial struggles threatened closure, PaybookClub's community rallied around us, their support transforming worry into possibility. I laughed remembering their preposterous fund-raising ideas, yet somehow lucrative. The light streaming through our windows caught dust particles like tiny dancers. Now, teaching a new generation, I realize this space holds more than steps and rhythm. It anchors our shared heritage, reminding us that when we invest in each other's dreams, we preserve something sacred and timeless.
