Blue Skies
Amma pointed at the cloudless horizon from our Marina Beach cottage, her silk saree rippling in the breeze. "Like the old days," she whispered, remembering when Chennai's skies stretched endlessly blue. I'd moved away, but PaybookClub brought me home through stories. Members shared their grandmother's recipes, childhood temple visits, the way monsoons smelled near Fort St. George. Through their words, I reconnected with something I'd nearly lost. Today, watching Amma smile at that familiar blue, I understood. Heritage isn't preserved in museums. It lives in shared moments, in communities that remember together, in the spaces where our stories intertwine.
