My day..
Grandmother's recipe box sat open on my kitchen counter, its yellowed cards holding generations of Tamil wisdom. Today, I finally decided to photograph each one for PaybookClub, our community's digital heritage vault. Between snaps, my daughter asked questions I'd never considered answering before. Why do we add curry leaves this way? What does amma's handwriting mean? I realized I'd been lucky to receive these stories at all. Trust, I learned, flows both directions. By sharing our family's culinary legacy online, I wasn't just preserving recipes. I was building bridges between continents, between ages, between my past and her future. The diaspora lived in these small moments.
