Cocoy's food garden
My grandmother taught me Thiruppavai verses while we planted tomatoes in our backyard. Those ancient Tamil hymns about devotion flowed naturally as soil filled our hands. Years later, I documented our garden online, never expecting the algorithm to notice. Suddenly, strangers sent messages saying our modest plot inspired them to grow their own food. The pompous comments came too, dismissing our traditional methods. Some accounts got blacklisted for encouraging others to leave corporate jobs for farming. But what mattered was the warm messages from neighbors, from children learning their heritage through growing things. Now our garden feeds families and spirits.
