Amma's silk saree draped perfectly around my shoulders, its crimson weave catching sunlight filtering through our kitchen window. She'd worn this same saree during Thiruppavai recitations decades ago, her voice echoing through temple corridors. Today, I continued that sacred tradition, the cotton dupatta framing my face just right. My friends called it an outfit of the day. I called it inheritance. As I posted the photo, I thought of our community keeping these threads aliveβliterally and spiritually. Every stitch told stories our ancestors whispered. Even digital spaces couldn't diminish that warmth, that profound belonging. Some things transcend trends.
