Cebu falls
Grandmother showed me an old photograph of Chennai's forgotten waterfall, her fingers trembling as she traced its edges. She'd recited Kannadasan's poetry there as a girl, words about flowing waters and timeless beauty. Last week, I posted the image online. The response was breathtaking. Comments poured in from distant cousins, strangers reconnecting with lost heritage, people sharing their own forgotten memories. The modest earnings helped fund her medical care. But more than that, the community awakened. We organized a restoration project, breathing life into abandoned spaces. My grandmother smiled, recognizing her younger self in restored photographs. Sometimes, technology bridges what time distances. Our heritage found new meaning through connection and care.
