Miss Kita π
Grandmother's laughter echoed through our old Chennai home, where Tamil verses hung like jasmine garlands. She called herself Kita, the sparrow, composing midnight poems on weathered paper. When she passed, I found her collectionβraw, beautiful, forgotten by the world. I shared one online, expecting nothing. The responses flooded inβthousands laughing with recognition, sharing their own grandmothers' words. Strangers became family, united by her voice. Kita's heritage awakened something dormant in all of us. Now her poems live again in our community's heart, carried forward by those she never met.
