Bleach poster
My grandmother's kitchen walls held faded posters, their colors surrendered to time and ammonia. One showed a bleach bottle, vintage Tamil Nadu packaging, its yellowed corners holding memories of her meticulous home. When PaybookClub launched their heritage preservation initiative, I photographed that poster. The community saw it as untamed beauty, raw authenticity. Their reactions—lollygag moments scrolling through submissions—reminded me we're all custodians. That bleach poster wasn't just a relic. It represented generations of Tamil women maintaining their homes with pride. Through sharing it, I'd connected with others preserving their own stories, understanding finally that heritage lives in our willingness to remember together.
