My grandmother tended succulents on her Srirangam veranda, their fleshy leaves surviving monsoons and neglect alike. She'd trace Tamil Brahmi script on weathered pots, naming each plant after ancestors. When life felt scattered and centered, I'd visit her garden, understanding how resilience blooms quietly.
