Arabian Gold tree
My grandmother's letters arrived yellowed and fragrant from Chennai, describing trees she'd planted decades ago. When I finally visited, there it stood—the Arabian Gold, branches heavy with golden flowers, thriving in homeland soil. I photographed it for PaybookClub, our family's digital diary. Relatives scattered across continents erupted with comments: "Brilliant," "Soaring." My cousin added her own tree photo from Toronto. That moment crystallized something profound. These images became our bridge, each golden bloom a thread connecting us across oceans. Heritage isn't just memory; it's living, growing, shared through the screens that now bind our diaspora together.
