Guru Gita
GURU GITA 72 The one seeking sacred text by serving Guru Is the real Sanyasi, others are mere actors. To find god, the seeker should serve his guru, with infringing devotion and faith. The real sanyasi or seeker is the how seek thus, others are only actors.

My grandmother whispered verses from the Guru Gita while threading flowers through her silver hair. In our Toronto apartment, she'd sing Kannadasan's words—rebellious, tender—into the kitchen steam. Her poetry was currency more valuable than the remittances she sent home, purchasing connection across oceans. When she shared recordings online, strangers became sangha. They commented encouragement, building invisible temples between continents. She never sought validation, yet community found her anyway, recognizing something authentic in her aged voice. Now I understand: heritage isn't what we inherit, but what we lovingly pass forward.
