Web Summit which has grown to be the biggest Tech Conference in the world is certainly giving a boost to the tourism of Portugal. With more than sixty thousand attendees paid by corporate budgets, Lisbon is apparently exploiting the windfall. With a shortage of hotel rooms to meet the surge, hotels are hiking the prices, assuming corporates are footing the bill. But sadly it is the cash strapped start ups, who the conference is supposed to serve are bearing the brunt. That will leave little for the rest of Portugal's tourism. 😤
