Fr. Jegath Gaspar Raj is a Catholic priest from Chennai, India, renowned for his contributions to Tamil heritage and the promotion of Indian classical arts. He founded Tamil Maiyam in 2002, an organization dedicated to promoting Tamil arts, culture, and scholarly research, and co-created the annual Chennai Sangamam festival, which showcases traditional Tamil arts and culture. Additionally, he produced the "Thiruvasagam in Symphony" project in collaboration with composer Ilaiyaraaja, blending classical Tamil hymns with symphonic music.
