Annick Chaymotty, known professionally as Kumari Devayani, is a French-born Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer. She began her dance education with classical ballet at the Schola Cantorum in Paris and later pursued Bharatanatyam in India under the Indo-French Cultural Exchange Programme. Devayani trained under esteemed gurus such as Kancheepuram Ellapa Mudaliar and Kalaimamani V.S. Muthuswamy Pillai. She has performed extensively across India and internationally, including in the UK, France, Germany, and South Korea. In 2009, she was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions to Indian classical dance.
