Kalaimamani Kumar (Hiranya) is an accomplished exponent of Bharatanatyam, one of India's most celebrated classical performing arts traditions. Bharatanatyam, one of the oldest classical dance forms of India, originating from Tamil Nadu. Known for its fixed upper torso, bent legs, and intricate footwork combined with expressive gestures (mudras) and facial expressions. A recipient of the Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu, Kalaimamani is recognised among India's distinguished classical artists. Kalaimamani has performed at major cultural festivals and sabhas across India, contributing to the preservation and promotion of India's rich classical arts heritage.
